The Trans Alpine Scooter Safari is a unique biennial fundraising event that sees hundreds of riders tackle an unforgettable journey across the South Island from Christchurch to Hokitika on small city scooters—all in support of the Cancer Society. Over the past 10 years, the Scooter Safari has raised more than $2.2 million for the Cancer Society, including over $371,000 at the most recent event, helping fund cancer research, patient support and vital community services throughout New Zealand.
ATL’s team, The Fat Lambs is proud to have taken part in the Scooter Safari on four occasions, joining hundreds of other riders in support of this incredible cause. Over the years we've ridden through sunshine, heavy rain, sleet and even snow—embracing every challenge the South Island has thrown our way while creating unforgettable memories as a team.

The Great Canterbury Duck Race is one of Canterbury's most colourful community fundraising events, bringing together local businesses, families and supporters for a fun-filled day on the Avon River. Sponsored corporate ducks race from the Bridge of Remembrance to Hereford Street, while decorated ducks compete for the coveted Best Dressed Duck award.

Hosted by Life Education Trust Canterbury, every duck purchased helps fund the Healthy Harold Programme, delivering vital health and wellbeing education to thousands of Canterbury school children each year.
ATL has proudly taken part in the annual Great Canterbury Duck Race since 2023, entering a custom-designed corporate duck each year in support of Life Education Canterbury. Decorating our duck has become a fun team tradition, with help from family members and local businesses, before cheering it on from the riverbank alongside the wider community.

The most recent Duck Race raised more than $35,000, helping deliver health and wellbeing education to approximately 1,400 children while contributing to programmes reaching over 20,000 Canterbury students every year.

The Canterbury Children's Christmas Party is a special annual event that brings joy, laughter and unforgettable memories to children facing significant challenges. Each year, children living with life-threatening illnesses, disabilities, difficult family circumstances or other hardships are invited to enjoy a magical Christmas celebration filled with entertainment, gifts and festive activities.

The event exists to give these incredible children and their families a day to simply have fun, create lasting memories and experience the magic of Christmas.

ATL is proud to support the Canterbury Children's Christmas Party through our ongoing event sponsorship. For the past X years, we've contributed to helping make this special day possible for local children and their families.
Community support isn't limited to major fundraising events. Throughout the year, ATL is proud to give back in many different ways—supporting local sports clubs, schools, charities and community organisations across Canterbury and the West Coast. Whether it's sponsoring local clubs, donating prizes for fundraising events, volunteering our time or lending a helping hand where it's needed, we're always looking for ways to make a positive contribution.
Our community support has included sponsoring the Amberley Rugby Club, Amberley Golf Club and Burnside Bowling Club, donating player-of-the-day prizes and gift baskets to local junior sports teams, providing complimentary heat pump servicing for Pink Ribbon Breakfast fundraising initiatives, supporting Movember, donating to the Canterbury West Coast Rescue Helicopter, and assisting many other local organisations and community causes throughout the year.

Our involvement in the community doesn't stop here. Follow ATL on social media to keep up with the latest fundraising events, sponsorships, team challenges, community initiatives and the projects we're proud to be part of across Canterbury and the West Coast.

Whether we're supporting a local charity, celebrating a team milestone or sharing highlights from our latest community event, we'd love to have you along for the journey.
