General Electrician - REEFTON
ATL Electrical is looking for an experienced, all-round Electrician to join our team based in Reefton on the West Coast. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy — working across residential, commercial, industrial, rural and farming environments, including mines and remote sites.
$5,000 sign-on bonus available (paid after 12 months of employment).
What kind of work will you do?
This is a varied, hands-on role covering:

Residential and commercial electrical work
-
Industrial and rural installations and maintenance
-
Farming and agricultural electrical work
-
Mine and remote site work
-
Fault finding, servicing and repairs
-
General electrical upgrades and projects
You’ll be part of an on-call rotation and will need to be confident working independently.
Experience with heat pumps and solar systems is an advantage — but not essential.
What you need to be successful in this application:
You must be NZ registered with a current practising licence and have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in New Zealand or Australia. You’ll bring strong all-round electrical experience, problem-solving ability, a high standard of workmanship, and the ability to work independently across a range of environments. A full Class 1 NZ driver licence is required, along with clear communication skills. Applicants must currently reside in New Zealand.

Solar Electrician
With demand for our solar services continuing to grow, ATL Electrical is expanding our Christchurch team and looking for a NZ Registered Electrician with solar experience.
With a strong pipeline of residential and commercial solar projects, this is a great opportunity to secure consistent work while building your skills in a fast-growing sector.
What kind of work will you do?
This is a varied role working across solar and general electrical, including:
• Residential solar installs and system upgrades
• Commercial solar projects
• Inverter installs, commissioning and testing
• Fault finding and servicing
• General residential and commercial electrical work
We’re looking for someone with around 2+ years of solar experience who enjoys working across different job types, can operate independently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Service Electrician
ATL Electrical is looking for an experienced, motivated Service Electrician to join our growing team.
With a competitive hourly rate this is a great opportunity to secure strong earnings while working in a supportive, tight-knit team environment.
What kind of work will you do?
This is a dedicated service role working across residential and commercial sites, including:
• Residential and commercial service work
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Maintenance and repairs
• Small upgrades and alterations
• Compliance testing and documentation
Solar experience is an advantage, but not essential.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem solving, can work independently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Qualified Electricians
With a competitive hourly rate and time and time and a half paid above 42.5 hours, you have the opportunity for some serious earnings!

Automation & AV Technician
ATL Electrical is looking for a motivated Automation & AV Technician to join our Christchurch team.
This is a hands-on role working across access control, security systems, audio visual, and smart automation technology — offering strong variety and opportunities to grow within a specialised and fast-moving industry.
What kind of work will you do?
This is a varied role working across automation, AV and security systems, including:

Access control systems

Security systems, CCTV and alarms

Audio visual installs and smart home systems

Basic automation and networking integration
-
Fault finding, servicing and system upgrades
We’re looking for someone with experience in electrical, security, AV, data or automation who enjoys problem solving, learning new technology, and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Experience with platforms such as Control4, KNX or C-Bus is beneficial — but training can be provided for the right person.
Heat Pump Installation Specialist
ATL Electrical is looking for a superstar heat pump installer. Could it be you!?
We are on the hunt for a heat pump installer or subcontractor who is experienced in both domestic and light commercial industries. You will also have experience in ducted system installation work, and the know-how to manage the steps of ducted system installation.
There is plenty of opportunity for careers progression as ATL is growing every year.
