Reasons For Voyaging is a gateway sculpture which welcomes visitors to Christchurch Art Gallery.

The sculpture was damaged in the Christchurch earthquake, which meant the stainless steel sails were no longer spinning. The motors and gear boxes all required replacement.

The ATL team worked with the greatest care, and at height, to ensure the no damage came to the exterior of the pieces.

ATL are currently working on the Gallery’s request to override the lunar moments, for special occasions.
