ATL Electrical partnered with STR Fabrication to deliver a fully integrated commercial electrical and automation solution for the first Laundry or Naked self-service pod, installed in Hanmer Springs.

This bespoke project required complete system design and integration. ATL developed a custom payment system connecting the touchscreen interface to the washing machines and dryer, enabling automated customer transactions.

 

In addition, we engineered a monitoring system that weighs gas bottles and detergent supplies, providing automated alerts when refilling is required — ensuring seamless operation with minimal downtime.

 

ATL also designed and built the website platform, allowing customers to locate pods nationwide, alongside a secure backend system for remote monitoring and management.

 

Following the success of the initial installation, additional pods have now been deployed in Hokitika and Lumsden.
